Measure Twice, Cut Once

This sundeck redesign project was a rewarding challenge from start to finish. With a project site just not far from Victoria, we began by scrapping the old deck, which had seen better days, and focused on building something new and beautiful over a large rock face that overlooked the surrounding woods. These types of projects are always a lot of fun because they require exact measurements and attention to detail. Every corner needed to be aligned perfectly with the natural rock formations, ensuring the deck integrated seamlessly with the landscape.

Building over uneven terrain, like the rock face in this project, adds an exciting layer of complexity. It’s all about precision and craftsmanship, making sure everything fits just right. The effort pays off in the end, delivering not only a stunning outdoor space but also a place where the homeowners can create lasting memories for years to come.

Fortunately, the weather worked in our favor throughout the project, making the process smoother and allowing us to enjoy the natural beauty of the area while we worked. In the end, the new sundeck became the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking views, blending comfort and nature in a way that will provide amazing experiences for years ahead.
